    Hi Natasha,

I’m sorry you weren’t able to decorate the Christmas tree, or get out the ornaments and such, but I’m glad things worked out with your son in the end. Yay for dancing around the kitchen and sending smiles back and forth! My Mom always used to tell me, “We’re not going anywhere or doing anything until you tell me this or that”

    Thanks for sharing!
    God Bless!

  2. Thank you Natasha! This is exactly what I needed to read this morning after spending Christmas Day in bed with a migraine and the Christmas season housebound. I too had so many hopes for Christmas traditions, decorations, carol singing, visiting friends, playing noisy games and watching films with family. I’m sitting here this morning reminding myself that Christmas is not really about those things, that many many people are having a much more difficult Christmas than me and that I have so many blessings in my life to be thankful for.

The song that has been on my mind is ” God rest ye merry gentlemen let nothing you dismay, for Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas Day” and isn’t that the core of Christmas. One day your children will be healed from their past hurt and I will be healed from my illness because Jesus was born as a helpless human baby. His coming gave us hope.

Thank you for the beautiful way that you write and encourage my heart and gave reminded me to enjoy the present as well as hope for the future. A very blessed and happy Christmas to your whole family!

    1. I am so thankful for your beautiful testimony, Miriam! It is His coming that gives us hope. Amen and amen and amen!

  3. I am learning this too: “It was the lesson of being present and trusting God that “right here” is really, actually “very good”.
God wants me where I am for a reason and I just need to be still and listen and Trust, most of all. And live!!

I think I am one of those children today. So grateful for my gracious Abba…and for your reminder!

  5. You always have insight that moves and grows me, Tasha! Blessed Christmas blessings to you and your dear family!

  6. Thank you. That was a really well timed message. God bless you and your family this Christmas. It is delightful to hear about your expanding family and how God continues to bless you
