  1. Just sitting here nodding so hard 🙂 Thanks for these words! I always wanted to get married and have children and somehow I assumed it would be easy. Then I got what I wanted and it is the best discipleship course for me, but harder then I would have ever chosen if I knew in advance how hard it would be. And still I would’t go back and change it because it is also so wonderful.

Stepping Heavenward is one of my favourites, and that passage is just perfect, isn’t it? It’s such and inspiring book to me, seeing how she changes makes me think I just might to 😉

  2. Ack! So glad to hear from you!

  3. This was so beautiful and timely, Natasha.

My husband and I are expecting our first child after 16 years of marriage and eight years of infertility.

I am thrilled, but a bit anxious as I have grown so accustomed to life being just the two of us. This post reminded me that all the things I have longed for all these years (loving and laughing with a little one, doing chores together, homeschooling) are coming. Yes, life will be different (and harder at times!), but wonderful. I never want to bemoan this glorious gift of motherhood, but rather cherish every precious, privileged second.

Thank you, as always, for your transparency and encouragement.

Wow! Such a great reminder for us as parents to savor these precious moments won’t our children. They’re truly God-given opportunities, that won’t last forever. I also loved the excerpt from the book “Stepping Heavenward”. I’m have to read that book now!
    Thanks Natasha.
