of faith and {moving} mountains
” the people of Israel are oppressed, and the people of Judah as well. All their captors hold them fast, refusing to let them go. Yet their Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is His name. He will vigorously defend their cause, so that he may bring them rest to their land.” Jer 50:33-34
This verse was send to me two days ago in reference to my foster sisters. In the past twenty-four hours we have watched God change hearts and move mountains. It’s been a lesson in faith. Because when God moves nothing can stop Him. And when God speaks His will is done.
How easily and quickly I forget that! I look at life and think that I need to take control of this situation and I need to try and do something to save everyone. {call it a personality quirk} But while action and using wisdom is a good thing: utilizing them without resting in the knowledge of God’s power in all circumstances is not faith at all but fear.
It came to me, last night, as we were sitting at a dinner table with two of my mentors in the faith, watching our flaming dessert cook right at the table with us, that every lesson we learn in life is preparing us for the next one.
My husband and I are sending an application in today and pursuing an avenue that we both feel peace about. We also feel that God must lead and provide for every single step or it won’t work.
This desire of my heart must be provided by God himself, or it will crumble and fall to pieces. I know that.
Now, to do my best to surrender my will and walk in His ways. To truly have faith and not be led by fear.
Is there an area in your life that is being controlled by fear? Let’s ask God, together, how to scale the mountains in life with faith.
And friends, that means moving forward {you can’t climb a mountain standing still!} and believing that if you step in the wrong direction, God will tell you. And it means using your God-given wisdom, {because everyone knows that it won’t help you climb a mountain if you jump in a hole} while still listening carefully to a God that sometimes asks us to do the unconventional thing.
Excited for what God has in store for you and your husband, Natasha! Your words always speak volumes of truth to me. Love your heart and your writing! Keep climbing the mountain, friend, and trusting in Him to carry you. I’ll be in your cheering (praying) section.
Thank you natasha for the reminder, God is so good to lead us up that mountain, sometimes even carry us. I love that God is moving mountains in your life!
