In the months that followed the Connecticut shootings  back in 2012 I saw all these debates online. Gun control. Mental illness.  People reaching and stretching for reasons. It’s because there was access to a gun. It’s because we haven’t correctly diagnosed and helped those with mental illness. It’s because we don’t pray in school. It’s because it has become politically incorrect…

This morning I read the story of Jesus showing up again. He already had once, you know. He could have said, “Well, y’all had your chance.” But He didn’t. He just kept showing up, over and over. It was after his death and resurrection that He walked right into the disciples lives again. They were back in the…

I was at college, talking to my professor about my end-of-the-semester project; an in-depth study of one chapter of the Bible. I was so excited about it. The chapter I chose was Isaiah 58, where God talks about true fasting. “My roommates and I are doing a fast right now,” I said, in my flurried…

  1. My husband is GREAT at making me laugh. He makes funny faces, talks in silly voices, is goofy, and just generally cracks me up. And I’ve never considered myself talented at making other people laugh, but for some reason, I have a knack for making him laugh, and I love it. We have tons of fun together. 🙂

I adore the fact that I can make my husband laugh as well, for much the same reason! 🙂

  2. I’m slow in catching up here, Natasha, but I love this series. You have inspired me. 😀 Though you usually do. LOL

We mostly give it away to family and friends. 🙂 My husband is still trying to figure out a way to tap more. We have another sugar bush behind the barn, but you have to cross a gulf to get to it and that is difficult when we have a lot of snow. So, he’d hoping to put up tubing and run the sap into barrels on this side. If he does that then we’ll probably sell to someone local and have them add it it their barrels.

I’m hoping to do get a chance to do a maple syrup giveaway here in the beginning of march. We’ll see if it all works out. 🙂

      1. My mental image of your words is so funny! I see a gigantic gulf and some little tubes daringly stretching across it… 😀

  4. This was grand! Men… they’re amazing, aren’t they? 😀
My husband has a bit of a…ahem… reputation, himself. He’s slapstick, and ridiculous, and constantly making me both laugh and blush at the same time. It’s hard to believe there are twenty years between us.
I love how we can be a friend, partner, teammate and playmate ALONG with being a wife.
